Pictures, as promised

Saturday, was a very long hot day. And the heat did slow me down, so I didn't get as much done as I wanted. That also means that I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted.

This is what the pond in my back yard looked like three weeks ago.

What a difference three weeks makes. If you look real close, you can see the gold fish.

This is were the pergola goes. Again, what a difference. But thats how it goes in Utah, no spring. You go from winter right into summer. No stops in between.

90 degrees, shorts and power tools. This life has it's perks.

There was a ooops in the picture taking. My beautiful wife, who hasn't used my camera before, hit the wrong button and started to take video. So there are no more pictures and the video wont up load to this blog. Picture it with another beam and cross beams and, .................well you either see it in your mind or you don't.

I have a few more do dads (pun intended) to add, and a little more sanding to do next Saturday, so I will take a few more pictures. I think I have about one hour worth of work on it, so I better plan on three.

Before I go, I want everyone to know how hard my wife and mother worked on this project. I think that the hard work made it fun. By for now - Boyd

A short one

Just a short blog to let every one know that I am still alive, and kicking.

I hope that today will be a big day. Today I want to put up a purgala (I don't know the right way to spell it but it's one of those things that you let plants grow over) for my mother. Shar is coming with me and I am hoping some other's, but I am not holding my breath.

Two days in a row.......not a record............but not bad.

How can I explain, having two days in a row, too add to my blog? Some times it just happens. Maybe I shouldn't complain, but infest my time wisely, by telling you about the meeting I had at work, last Friday.

I'm fairly new at this company, but I can tell that it is a much better company than my last. There seems to be a big push, to do more and more in less time than before. A couple of weeks ago, we had a two hour training meeting, on how to use "Outlook" for more than just email.

Here is irony. My manager forgot to put Friday's meeting on his Outlook calender. What was the meeting you ask? A three hour training meeting, for everyone in the office, on time management.

It was a good meeting and I really learned a lot. I wonder though, how much will be implemented? Seems like a lot of the employees, went to the meeting, with the attitude of why change. Some thing I didn't pick up on until Monday morning. One fellow employee said that he has "never waisted three hours, like that in my entire life". Some people just don't get it.

Well here's to more good meetings and learning and improving (is good meetings, really an oxymoron?). By for now-Boyd

I'v been busy. No I mean it, realy busy!

A post every two weeks is not enough. I have just been out of it lately, so please forgive me.

I had just started my new job and there was a cold floating around my office were I work. So when I caught it, I went into survival mode. I didn't do anything unless resting was involved or it was related to learning my new job duty's.

By the time I started to get over my cold, the honey dews had piled up so high, I don't know if I will ever get caught up. I did get to go to a Jazz game on weds., with Amy, and had a great time.
The picture form the game, were not the best I have ever taken, because, by the time I snapped and had the little time delay, it was not even close to what I had in mind. I even have a couple of shots of an empty court.

I'm sure that there are many lessons to be learned from taking pictures at a basket ball game, with a digital camera, but I don't know what they are. If you , the reader, figure some, let me know. Comments are always welcome.
This just might be the best picture, that I have ever taken. Here again, let me know what YOU think. Love for now- Boyd

Father in heaven really knows what he is doing

I am sorry that it took so long to post, but I have been busy.
This will be a short post, written ten minutes before I go to bed.
Our Father in Heaven, really does know what He is doing. He knows just how much I can take.
When I was depressed, he held my hand. And when I felt that I didn't I didn't have much left, he came to my rescue.

I went from being in the snow with know job to having one and a half jobs and 70degree weather.

Life is good again---------Thanks to our Father in Heaven
