Some times you don't really have any thing to say. And of coarse, that is when you should keep your mouth shut. Oooooh, but not me.
There is a time of early morning when I am not really awake but not asleep, when I do my most creative thinking. It is also the time when I remember the past, and try to figure out, some of lifes lessons that I might have missed.
Twenty years ago, I worked with a man who loved to complain, that there are no poets left in the world. Because I love music, I said that most of the poets, today, set there words to music.
Here is a challenge- lyrics to a few of my favorite songs. You tell me, are the poetry or not.
exhibit A
And as the sunset faded,
I spoke to the famous, first star light,
and said, next time,
will get it right.
exhibit B
Oh I'v got some thing in side of me,
not what my life's about.
there's a wild man, raging in me,
over till my time, runs out.
I did have a lot of other examples, but it is late at night and I can't remember them. I guess I need that early morning thing. Any way, I would like to hear from you, even if you think I'm nuts. So please leave a comment, or two, and tell me what you think. You get extra points if you can tell me what songs they are from. Hey, the points are worth just as much as on who's line is it anyway. And feel free to throw out better examples, if you got em.

Don't know the songs but do know you two were both lookers back in the day. Love to read your blog.

Bob Seeger, "Roll Me Away"
I don't know the second one.
You know what I noticed about Shar is that her dress would still be gorgeous today.
Love ya,

Ding, ding ding, Bob Seeger's Roll me away, is correct. The other is Harry Chapin's, Taxi. The middle part that no one listens too.
