Grandma with Jackson!
On June 22nd, at 9:27am, Jackson Byron Smith came into the world and blessed the life of all his family. Not to mention, he made me a grandpa.
For now I am one of the happiest men on this this planet. A may not be the greatest comparison, but being a grandfather is like the Grace of God. It took no work on my part but leaves me with a great sense of joy.
I can't figure out why, a baby crying, who is not a member of my family, makes my ears bleed. And when a baby crying, who is a member of my family, sounds like music (for a short while anyway).

Welcome little Jackson. How cute is he! Now I add Great Aunt to my name. Can't wait to see him when we are in town.
