Love, Mormons, Politcs and the Dichotomous Man.

Its another political season, and I am running for Town Council, for the Township of Magna, Utah............again. And though I sometimes wonder if I am the right man (person) for the job, still, I am the only one on the ballet for my district.

It is a job in politics, without pay and with very little power. And so, if I speak of my love for the job, I believe that it makes me a dichotomous man.

I like many Mormons, am very concerned about the future of this great country. My life experiences may give a most unique point of view, which I feel compelled to share with the world.

The Mark of the Devil: The History channel, likes to delve into religion, A subject they can only rely on learned men and college professors to guide them. Only after forty five minutes on the subject of the anti-christ, one of these learned men, explained that the number 666 or the sign of the beast, was most likely a popular and crafty way of naming a secular politician, with out naming a name.

Is it a far stretch too assume that any politician who seeks to replace the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with solutions for life's ills, with a government hand out, would be part of the anti-christ?

President Bensen Once said (previous President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints)
"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."
--Ezra Taft Benson, "Born of God", Ensign, July 1989,

If I am correct, that the anti-christ can be found in communist and socialist governments, then wouldn't it be safe to say, that it is the duty of Mormons and Christians alike, to fight off these evils.

As always, I am willing to listen too why I am wrong. I know that I am not a perfect man, and I know that there I can learn from others.

I also know, that there is evil in the world, and I must do what I can (even if all I can do is write a angry blogg) too stop it.

Please reply, Boyd
